Tom Breihan's list is a bit of a disappointment. Gretchen Wilson? Are you kidding? She is totally the trashy "Mainstream Guilty Pleasure of '04", except that unlike "I'm a Slave 4 U", or even fucking Ludacris, Gretchen Wilson is fucking terrible and there really isn't any two ways about it. Also - and I admit this point is more subjective - the new Streets album is pretty weak too. Especially "Dry Your Eyes" - you know something is shitty and inappropriately "emotional" when listening to it makes you yearn for COLDPLAY. Yeah.

I finally D/Led the Streets album the other day and haven't gotten enough time to sit with it. "Dry Your Eyes" is pretty sappy indeed, but I'm all about "Blinded by the Lights." And "Fit But You know It" is waaaaaaaay overrated in this scribe's humble opinion.

That said, I've got a pretty cool remix of it featuring grime semi it-boy Kano.
